1. Ace of swords = clarity of thought, mental clarity, mind focus, sharper and clearer mind, writing project, fairness, justice. The need to talk, discuss or write. New ideas, thoughts, project or relationship. The need to focus and simplify the situation.
2. Two of swords = indecision, stalemate, clash of ideas or words, double minds, split decisions, need to compromise. Agent of peace or conflict resolution, in the middle of two opposition parties, need to be neutral and impartial. Blocked emotions and tension.
3. Three of swords = broken heart, heartache, hurt feelings, being hurt by spoken or written words, deceived, unhappy relationship, painful separation, past trauma, love triangles. Grief from heartbreak. The (bitter) truth or secret finally revealed. Period of illness or the need of surgery.
4. Four of swords = meditation, healing, resting, temporary withdrawal, praying, introspection, moment of tranquil, contemplation, recuperation, recharging the energy. Need to take rest and to reflect after mental or verbal battle (by words). Inactive and quiet moment.
5. Five of swords = victory at high cost, win at all cost. The need to accept the fact that you are lost in competition or battle. Short term victory that lead to long term lost or victory that doesn’t lead to happiness. Conflict, tension, hostility, lost. There may be lies, gossip or trickery that leads to fights. The need to walk away from fights to avoid the greater damage. Self-sacrifice. Know your limit. Victory by surrender. Wounded pride.
6. Six of swords = move on, leaving to go somewhere else better, escape from the turmoil or difficulties, traveling by waters, accept help in finding solutions to problems, take a journey to restore self-balance after mind troubles or to get the answer of it. Take the distance to ease the stress or to have temporary relief. Necessary regretful feeling.
7. Seven of swords = It is a sneak theft card. It means; doing something secretly, taking advantage by stealth, elopement, spying or getting away with something. Taking measured risk. Betrayal or someone doing something behind your back. Stolen ideas or something written. Mistrust and lack of conviction. Be careful with something/someone that is tricky, sneaky or dishonest. But it could be also the need to be tricky, sneaky and not to tell the truth. White lies may be needed.
8. Eight of swords = feel trapped, stuck and/or powerless. Self-imposed restriction. Afraid to move. Lack of movement. Paralyzed. Helplessness. No choice. Self-isolation. Cannot see the situation clearly. Insecurity, imprisonment in legal’s field or hospitalization in case of injuries. It could be also fears of criticisms, gossips or insults thus you are afraid to speak up your mind and thought.
9. Nine of swords = anxiety, extreme stress, depression, too much worries, overactive mind, insomnia, nightmares. Fear. Denial. Self-delusion. It signals for the unresolved problems, something that went wrong, regrettable spoken or written words that lead to sleepless nights. The need to realize that what already happened is not so bad and still manageable.
10. Ten of swords = failed project, lost in battle, ending loss, feeling defeated, dashed hope, self sabotage, alert for enemies or betrayal. Stabbed in the back by someone words that kill your ideas, opinion or reputation. It could be also it is time to close the old issue or topic that was lead to arguments. It is time to move to the new issue, topic or discussion. Struggle end so it’s time to move on. Surrender, release and renew.
